The COLOSSEUM II is the follow-up of the sold out limited series COLOSSEUM from 2010.

Information about the movement

The KRONSEGLER CALIBER 26 is a newly developed module on a self winding Swiss base movement mounted on 23 rubies. The CALIBER 26 is available since February 2010 after a development and production time of 20 months. The module of the CAL.26 mechanically converts the central angular momentum of the basic movement into 31 date steps. In order to keep the movement height as low as possible, an additional quick-setting unit has been dispensed with. The setting of the weekday is achieved by using the crown to turn the time back and forth over certain switching points. After the watch has been set once, it is also possible to skip the 31st of the month 5 times a year with little effort. The power reserve of the CALIBER 26 after full winding is 40 – 46 hours, the oscillation frequency is 21,600 A/h.

The COLOSSEUM II uses a proven 3-part KRONSEGLER stainless steel case, which features a round housing and a flat, stepped bezel. Depending on the model, the watch is two-layered genuine gold plated and satined or rhodium plated and polished. The curved COLOSSEUM lettering is engraved on the left margin. The glass is slightly curved, which creates an exclusive shine on the front view of the watch. In addition, the glass is coated with a scratch-resistant diamond film.

The silver dial has a radial guilloche in the centre circle and is flat in the index area. Large Arabic numerals index the watch. The analog date placed at 4 o’clock is indicated by a red or black hand.

The central watch hands are thinly cut in the centre and open diamond-shaped at the end. The slim centre second hand moves over the entire dial which has a finely structured seconds scale.

The COLOSSEUM II is produced in one single limited edition of 500 pieces in individual production. The back of the watch is engraved with the serial number of the watch and has a central window. The rotor of the movement is golden and decorated with ornaments.

The padded leather strap is alligator embossed and has a gold or rhodium-plated folding clasp decorated with a coat of arms. In addition, another small KRONSEGLER coat of arms is placed in the front area of the strap.

The watch is delivered in the Kronsegler exclusive box and comes with a detailed brochure, operating instructions, a polishing cloth and a numbered certificate card.
