Mars Explorer Men’s automatic watch – Heading for the Red Planet

“Mars Explorer” not only expands our space travel themed watch family – you can see the visual relationship with ‘Meteorite’ and ‘Apollo 11’ – but also perfects the entire design once again with elaborate, elegantly finished details, a three-dimensional effect and an extended color palette. The set is rounded off with an exclusive black watch box with the “Mars Explorer” inscription embossed in gold and a matching booklet.

To comprehensively explore, travel and ultimately colonize the universe is an ambitious, long-cherished dream of mankind, the fulfillment of which sometimes seems impossible, or at least is still written in the stars. Nevertheless, it has not only been dreamed of for many years, but actively pursued. After the moon, Mars, our neighboring planet, is now the next target for a manned mission, the realization of which is getting closer step by step.

Impressively vivid:

The watches, numbered in 5 color variants of 100 pieces each, depict a space mission with the case and dial, which shows a view from Mars of a circling space shuttle, outer space and the distant Earth. The impressive plasticity of the dial design is created by several dial levels and perfected by numerous design elements.

Elaborate details of the watch series include the diamond cut of the main hands and the Mars probe as well as their blue ion plating and linear brushing. As this Martian probe functions as a seconds display and is therefore constantly in motion, this surface treatment creates a very elegant, iridescent light effect. A dot filled with luminous material acts as the tip of the hand.

The Earth is also not a static design element, but rotates in the distance as a 24-hour display, which is helpful when setting the time correctly and determining the date switching point at midnight.

The contrast between the finely coordinated matt, shimmering, brushed and glossy surfaces of the various parts creates spatial depth.

The watch is designed to look technical and solid – a little like a space capsule. The “Mars Explorer” has a diameter of 46 mm, a 10-piece steel case with ion-plated blue or black bezels and large, screw-down bezels on the sides. A beveled inner bezel with a minute scale merges into very vivid raised hour markers covered with luminous material.

The screw-down steel back is engraved with Mars data and the limited edition number of each watch. A glass window provides a view of the oscillating, rhodium-plated balance wheel.

The leather straps in blue, black or red are padded, fitted to the shape of the case radius, embossed with a shiny matt alligator finish and fitted with a folding clasp with a safety double pusher.

The watch is delivered in an exclusive, extra-large Mars Explorer watch box in black with golden lettering. The set also includes a detailed booklet with description and instructions for use, a numbered certificate card, brand tag and polishing cloth.
