RIOS 1931 uses the highest quality manufacturing process for the production of its reptile leather straps in Germany. The straps are not just glued and cut when the upper leather is applied to the lower leather. The upper leather (bugg coat) is wrapped around the cotton fleece inlay up to under the lining leather, glued and double-stitched (full bugg). The Tegu lizard is characterised by the striking alternation of longitudinal scales and small round scales. All reptile leather watch straps are labelled with the IRV flag. This guarantees that the leather is a species-approved article and has been acquired in accordance with the provisions of the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

The strap of your watch is a wearing part and particularly sensitive, especially to moisture, sweat, chemicals and abrasion. It therefore has a limited shelf life and should be replaced regularly, especially for hygienic reasons. The associations of the watch industry recommend the exchange of straps every 6 – 12 months; regardless of the brand.

How to find the right strap for your watch: Please measure the width of the strap on the band lugs on your watch and on the clasp. The widths vary in 2 mm increments (16, 18, 20, 22 mm). Find the right strap according to this classification:
Texture embossing – color of strap/color of clasp – band attachment width (mm)/ width of clasp (mm) – emblem button on front of strap? – type of clasp
