In German, there is a single term for the words “happiness,” “luck” and “fortune”: Glück. We, as a German watch manufacturer, combine all three meanings with this watch series.
What happiness really is and what makes us truly and permanently happy has occupied mankind for many thousands of years. But even detailed instructions on how to be happy do not change the fact that happiness, the feeling of happiness and the path to it are ultimately subjective and that, with a few exceptions of random luck, everyone forges their own fortune and happiness. Nevertheless, the concept of happiness also includes fundamental aspects that are largely the same for all people. In general, it is understood to mean a “good life” that is also in harmony with the well-being of other living beings and nature. A good, happy life means not only personal luck and happiness, but also communal happiness. So we know we can’t build happiness directly into watches – but our FORTUNA watch can contribute a little to the feeling of happiness.

The FORTUNA watch series is made of sustainable and recyclable components, with no components of animal origin (vegan). The polished watch cases in 32 mm size in the colors silver, rose gold and yellow gold are almost weightless. The white or green dials in noble mother-of-pearl look are made of vegan fiber instead of shell mother-of-pearl. The shimmering white or the velvety dark green form the background for two four-leaf appliquéd clovers as decorative symbols of luck in yellow or rose gold. The dials are set with 12 sparkling cubic zirconia indexes as well as another 2 cubic zirconia in the cloverleaf, which are ethically harmless unlike “blood diamonds”.

The movement is a SEIKO EPSON brand movement with high reliability and accuracy. The watches are water resistant 3 ATM suitable for everyday use. On the stainless steel back is engraved Latin “Faber Est Suae Quisque Fortunae”.

The soft, white straps are made of apple fiber (also called “apple leather”), a new sustainable material that, unlike animal leather, does not need to be chemically tanned and, as a true upcycled product, is an environmentally friendly and resource-saving leather alternative. The apple leather has a delicate grain structure and is fully stitched on the side, easy to clean and has an engraved Kronsegler pin buckle. Variant straps are available in ocean blue, cognac or mocha brown as accessories.

FORTUNA is delivered in a recyclable green long box with a detailed booklet printed on certified recycled paper with description, instruction manual, and certificate number as well as brand tag.
