As one of the most famous polymaths and geniuses of all time, Leonardo da Vinci was also enthusiastic about the art of watchmaking and designed and sketched clockworks. This fact is hardly known. A clockwork he drew was long misinterpreted as an engine for a flying machine. A complete “Da Vinci clock” completed by him himself has not been preserved.

Genius – Scriptor Temporis: The elegant men’s watch with technical complications

The stylish timepiece retains the elegant appearance of its predecessor. The two totalizers of the new chronograph function blend harmoniously into the familiar Genius dial. GENIUS succeeds in effortlessly incorporating a complication (stop function) commonly perceived as sporty into a classic watch design.

The elegant men’s watch still features the distinctive large date display surrounded by a “circle of infinity.” All functions are labeled in Latin and are displayed using classic Poire hands.

Watch cases and leather straps:

There are four color combinations available for the Da Vinci watch. Depending on the model, the dials are silver-white, black, or umbra, the main hands shimmer in blue, rose, or silver, while the chronograph hands are plated in blue, red, or gold, depending on the model.

The watch cases, with a diameter of 43 mm and a thickness of 11.5 mm, stand out thanks to their elaborate bi-finishing. The matt brushed body contrasts with the polished bezel. The 316L stainless steel cases are silver, yellow gold, or rose gold plated and feature a crown guard.

The chronograph pushers are round and, with their classic tubes, create the vintage look of a scientific measuring instrument. The 8.5 MOHS super-hard K1 glass with its elegant curvature perfectly rounds off the overall aesthetic appearance. Leonardo da Vinci’s “Vitruvian Man” adorns the screw-down case back of the chronograph as an engraving.

The GENIUS Chronograph is water-resistant to 5 ATM and equipped with lined leather straps (22 mm wide at the strap attachment), which can be easily changed without tools thanks to their convenient quick-change bars.

Inside, a precise Japanese chronograph movement from SEIKO EPSON is used, which oscillates at 32,768 amplitudes per second.

The watch is delivered in a green watch box with a certificate number, detailed booklet, and brand tag.
