As one of the most famous polymaths and geniuses of all time, Leonardo da Vinci was also passionate about the art of clockmaking and designed and sketched clockworks. This fact is hardly known, as a clockwork he drew was long misinterpreted as an engine for a flying machine.

KronSegler already realized the story of Leonardo da Vinci in 2013 in its watch series “Genius – Horarium Mechanicus”. This series is the most successful to date in a large number of KronSegler watches on historical, astronomical-mathematical or philosophical themes. Now the Genius watch series is being continued with the new “Genius Scriptor Temporis” model in a chronograph version.

The stylish “time recorder” retains the classic appearance of its predecessor. The two oil-pressed totalizers of the new chronograph function blend harmoniously into the dial. The watch still features the striking date display, around which the “circle of infinity” runs. All functions are inscribed in Latin and are displayed using classic poire hands.

There are a total of four color combinations. Depending on the model, the dials are silver-white, black or umbra, the main hands shimmer in blue, rosé or silver, while the chrono hands are plated in blue, red or gold, depending on the model. The high-quality watch cases with a diameter of 43 mm and a thickness of 11.5 mm stand out thanks to their elaborate bi-finishing. The matt brushed body contrasts with the shimmering polished bezel. The 316L stainless steel cases are silver, yellow gold or rose gold-plated and feature a flank protection for the crown. The chronograph pushers are round and create the vintage look of a scientific measuring instrument with their classic tubes.

The 8.5 MOHS super-hard K1 glass with elegant curvature perfectly rounds off the overall aesthetic appearance. Leonardo da Vinci’s “Vitruvian Man” is engraved on the screwed watch back of the chronograph.

The GENIUS men’s watch is water-resistant to 5 ATM and equipped with lined leather straps that can be easily changed without tools thanks to their convenient quick-change bars.

Inside, a precise Japanese chronograph movement from SEIKO EPSON is used, which oscillates at 32,768 amplitudes per second (quartz).

The watch is supplied in an exclusive box with a certificate, detailed booklet and brand tag.
