A look at the open balance wheel – the heart of mechanical watches

The “Balance” watch series is a declaration of love to the heart of a mechanical watch: the balance wheel. It is indispensable because its constant oscillation frequency forms the basis for a precisely functioning movement. Accordingly, the focus is on this fascinating timekeeper.

The 3-piece watch case made of 316L stainless steel measures 40 mm in diameter and is approximately 11.5 mm high. The round case profile, the flat stepped bezel, and the elaborate bi-finishing create a vibrant shimmering light effect on the case surface. Large parts are polished, while individual elements are matt brushed.

The name BALANCE is engraved in curved lettering on the left edge of the case. The exclusive shine on the front of the watch is created by the watch glass, which is not flat but slightly domed.

The “T-EDITION” (= technology) stands for simple, technical elegance and a clear dial without major distractions. Nevertheless, you will discover beautiful details. Above all, of course, the highlight: an opening consisting of three circular elements directly above the balance wheel and the escape wheel. This gives you a view of the heartbeat of the watch (the working balance wheel) and the ruby jewels. The dials of the T-EDITION are matt glossy and come in three colors: silver white, onyx black, and the typical “KRONSEGLER Pacific green.”

Skeletonized movement

The hands are skeletonized, diamond-cut, and mounted, meaning they are not flat but pressed into relief. The long, rod-shaped second hand bears a small KRONSEGLER crown crest at its short end.

The back of the watch provides an even more detailed insight. The glass case back reveals a completely skeletonized movement.

In keeping with the cooler technical character of the T-EDITION, a black carbon leather strap with a steel pin buckle is used.

The watch is delivered in a green Kronsegler box with operating instructions, brand tag, and numbered certificate magnetic card.
