COLOSSEUM III – KRONSEGLER module caliber based on Swiss ETA base movement

The COLOSSEUM watch series consists of the sold-out limited edition models COLOSSEUM from 2010 and COLOSSEUM II from 2015, and was completed in 2019 with the COLOSSEUM III.

The KRONSEGLER CALIBER 26 is a newly developed modular design based on a Swiss-made base movement with automatic winding on 23 jewels. The power reserve after full winding is 40-46 hours, with a frequency of 21,600 vph. The COLOSSEUM III is the continuation of the limited edition COLOSSEUM II series.

The simple, classic dial in antique white, with a flange around the edge, features large Roman numerals and black or, depending on the model, red or blue scale details. The harmonious design exudes quiet confidence, making the watch the ideal dress watch. The Latin saying can be read in the lower third of the dial:

The COLOSSEUM III uses a proven 3-piece KRONSEGLER stainless steel case, which features a shimmering round case guide and a flat, stepped bezel. Depending on the model, the watch is double-layered, genuine gold-plated and satin-finished or rhodium-coated and polished. The curved COLOSSEUM lettering is engraved on the left side. The case glass is slightly domed, creating an exclusive shine on the front of the watch. In addition, the glass is coated with a scratch-resistant diamond film. The central hands are minimally thin in the center and open up into a diamond shape at the ends.

The COLOSSEUM III is limited to 300 pieces. The watch case back is engraved with the serial number of the watch and has a central glass viewing window. The rotor of the movement is gold and decorated with ornaments. The padded leather strap has an alligator embossing and a gold-plated or rhodium-plated safety folding clasp decorated with a coat of arms. There is also another small KRONSEGLER coat of arms on the front of the strap. The watch series consists of three model variants: gold-plated, rhodium-plated with blue hands/blue 12, and rhodium-plated with black hands/red 12.

The watch is delivered in a Kronsegler watch box with a detailed brochure containing operating instructions and usage information, as well as a numbered certificate card.
