The COLOSSEUM II is a classic men’s automatic watch featuring a KRONSEGLER modular calibre based on a Swiss ETA movement. It features a gold-plated, three-part KRONSEGLER stainless steel case with a softly rounded, shimmering case profile and a flat, stepped bezel. The curved COLOSSEUM lettering is engraved on the left side of the case.

Classic Dial with Hand-Indicated Date

The silver-coloured dial features a sunburst guilloché pattern in the central area, while the index area has a smooth, flat finish. Large Arabic numerals serve as the hour markers. A date subdial is positioned at 4 o’clock and indicated by a red hand.

The central hour and minute hands are finely tapered in the centre and open into a diamond-shaped design towards their tips. The slender central seconds hand extends across almost the entire diameter of the dial, sweeping over a finely graduated outer seconds scale.

The slightly domed crystal creates an exclusive, shimmering appearance when viewed from the front. The crystal is additionally coated with a scratch-resistant diamond film coating (DFC).

Limited Edition

The COLOSSEUM II automatic watch is produced as a strictly limited edition of just 500 individually crafted pieces in Glashütte, Germany. Each case back is engraved with the individual serial number of the watch and features a central exhibition window.

The movement’s rotor is gold-coloured and decorated with ornamental detailing.

The padded leather strap features an alligator-embossed finish and a gold-plated safety folding clasp adorned with the KRONSEGLER coat of arms. A second small KRONSEGLER emblem is applied to the visible front section of the strap.

KRONSEGLER Modular Calibre Based on an ETA Movement

The KRONSEGLER CALIBER 26 is a newly developed modular construction based on a Swiss-made ETA automatic movement with 23 jewels. The CALIBER 26 has been available since February 2010, following 20 months of development and production.

The mechanical module converts the central rotational impulse of the base movement into 31 mechanical date increments. To keep the overall movement height as low as possible, an additional quick-set mechanism was deliberately omitted.

The day-of-the-week adjustment is performed by turning the crown forwards and backwards to move the hands through specific switching points. Once the watch has been set, this also makes it possible to skip the 31st day of the month, which is necessary five times a year, with minimal effort.

After being fully wound, the CALIBER 26 provides a power reserve of 40–46 hours and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.

The watch is delivered in a KRONSEGLER presentation box together with a detailed brochure containing operating instructions and care information, as well as a numbered certificate card in magnetic-card format.
